Classical Pattern Recognition Workshop

A six-session studio course covering the core classical formations, hand-marked chart drills, and confirmation habits before any live chart work.

Who it is for

Adults who already watch equities, indices, or FX and can locate a swing high and swing low, but who still hesitate when naming a head-and-shoulders, a descending triangle, or a bull flag while the structure is incomplete. Prior formal training is not required; curiosity and patience are.

What you leave with

You will be able to mark classical chart patterns on printed and screen charts, state what would invalidate each reading, and estimate a measured move once a break confirms. You will not leave with stock tips, brokerage advice, or a promise of returns.

Scope

Included

  • Six facilitated sessions of about two hours each
  • Printed historical chart packs drawn from Australian and international markets
  • Guided drills on head and shoulders, double tops and bottoms, triangles, wedges, flags, pennants, and rectangles
  • A personal pattern checklist for trend context, volume at the break, and throwbacks
  • Tea and quiet review time after each session

Not included

  • Personalised portfolio advice or product recommendations
  • Software licences or charting subscriptions
  • Guaranteed seating in a later cohort if you miss more than two sessions without notice

Provider and place

Sessions are led by the Web Analytics teaching practice at 34 Manchester Road, Bindera, New South Wales. The studio holds printed charts, a wall board for collective markup, and desks sized for unhurried work.

Process

  1. Enquiry — Tell us your experience level and preferred start month.
  2. Deposit — A place is held once the deposit is received (see Fees).
  3. Prep pack — You receive a short reading list and one unmarked chart homework sheet.
  4. Sessions — Weeks 1–2: reversals. Weeks 3–4: continuations. Weeks 5–6: confirmation, failure patterns, and open chart clinics.
  5. Close — Final session ends with a quiet review of your own annotated set.

Preparation

Bring a soft pencil, a straightedge, and any charting printouts you already trust. We supply the course packs. Please arrive fifteen minutes early for the first evening so we can seat the group without rushing the open.

Constraints

Places are capped at eight so every chart on the table can be discussed. This workshop is educational only and does not constitute personal financial advice under Australian law. Markets move; past patterns do not oblige future prices.

Next step

Enquire about the next cohort with your preferred start window. We confirm dates once a viable group forms.
